Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Marketing & Customer Success Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key strategic clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of these clients, ensuring satisfaction and driving growth. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of football analytics by developing key partnerships and ensuring that Modern Football’s innovative solutions are fully leveraged to create lasting value for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership & Competitive Positioning
Define and execute Modern Football Technology’s go-to-market strategy in alignment with business goals—from customer acquisition to retention.
Conduct competitive research and landscape analysis to identify whitespace opportunities and sharpen product-market fit.
Lead integrated marketing planning across digital, content, partnerships, and events to increase visibility and adoption across core segments (high school, college, pro, and potentially international).
Act as a thought partner to the CEO in shaping pricing, positioning, and strategic partnerships that move the brand forward.
Strategic Account Acquisition & Customer Success
Lead outreach, onboarding, and support for strategic accounts ensuring white-glove treatment and long-term loyalty.
Build trust with key coaching staffs and decision-makers by understanding their competitive goals and aligning Modern Football solutions with their needs.
Work alongside the CEO in securing strategic accounts, developing key account plans, and supporting renewal and upsell efforts.
Create scalable frameworks to maintain high-touch experiences even as the customer base grows.
Serve as the lead for all client acquisition and relationship management efforts in the state of Arizona, where you’ll act as Modern Football’s sole (in-person) representative—building trust, managing outreach, and driving adoption at every level of play.
Demand Generation & Performance Marketing
Launch and optimize targeted digital campaigns (social, email, branded content, partnerships) to drive leads and grow Modern Football’s user base across segments.
Build lightweight but effective funnel tracking using tools like Google Analytics or HubSpot to monitor performance and improve ROI.
Coordinate with sales and product teams to align campaign messaging with roadmap updates and market demand.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Strong understanding of the SaaS sales process and client relationship management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with key stakeholders.
Ability to understand client needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) and sales analytics.
3+ years of experience across digital marketing, partnerships, and football analytics.
Proven success in managing large-scale collaborations, optimizing performance data, and presenting insights to C-Suite executives.
Hands-on experience guiding cross-functional initiatives with Product, SEO, UX/UI, and Customer Success teams to drive business impact.
Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and tools, including Google Analytics, paid media, and social strategy.
Strong storytelling and copywriting skills.
Comfortable working in a self-driven and self-directed manner in a remote startup environment, with experience shipping MVPs and iterating on real-time feedback.
MBA in Digital Marketing from the University of Colorado; fluent in data, metrics, and growth strategy.
Bonus: Two-time Arizona State Champion Football Analyst with expertise in opponent scouting, data visualization, and high-level performance analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Former football player or coach.
Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Previous experience working with large, high-value clients or strategic accounts.
Network within the football industry.
Ability to work in a startup or high-growth company environment.
